The Noodlers Ink Baystate Cape Cod Cranberry is forgery resistant and it is impervious to lasers, alcohol and solvents; it is partially water proof.
If you are worried that an ink might stain a porous surface (as almost all ink – except washable – originally did exactly that before approx. 1970) you should not use the three “Baystate” colors. These inks are made for those people who can handle vintage style inks.
We understand that the Baystate colors may stain any part of your pen that it comes in contact with so please use with caution and we also recommend cleaning the pen on a regular basis. It would be advisable NOT to use the Baystate colors in a vintage pen or in a highly valued pen; using these inks in an inexpensive pen may be your best option.
